About Your Guide

Erik Anderson

With over 30 years of experience fishing and hunting on Manitoulin Island, Erik Anderson is more than a guide — he’s a true outdoorsman with a deep respect for the land and waters he calls home.

Born and raised in Kagawong, Erik grew up with a fishing rod in hand, exploring the shorelines and learning the patterns of the lakes in and around Manitoulin Island, where his passion for the outdoors was shaped at an early age.

Today, as the founder and lead guide of Anderson Charters, Erik specializes in downrigging for salmon and rainbow trout in the pristine waters around Little Current. Whether you’re an experienced angler or casting your first line, Erik brings patience, knowledge, and a genuine love of the sport to every trip.

From early morning runs to evening bites, Erik’s goal is simple: to give guests an unforgettable fishing experience on Manitoulin Island — one filled with great stories, great catches, and a deep appreciation for nature.
